Telehealth is a live, one-on-one video appointment with your physical, occupational or speech therapist. Telehealth is becoming a popular option that enables patients to see and talk to their health care providers in the comfort of their own home. During your telehealth virtual appointment, your therapist will prescribe exercises and progress the design and intensity of your plan of care as they would during an in-clinic visit. Your physical therapist can also help modify your home environment and use available resources to optimize your care from your home. You still get 1:1, real-time contact with a therapist, and guidance and feedback for your individualized therapy treatment. Expect the same things you would from in-person PT, including a treatment plan and exercise program to keep up between sessions.
In-home care is offered on a case by case basis when a patient is unable to attend in clinic or virtually. Most therapy services are covered by insurance, and certain rules apply to home-care therapy to be covered by your insurance carrier. We will gladly check to see if you are eligible to receive this service.
